  • Identify the Power Players: Once your list is ready, ask yourself, “What 20% of each column produced the most reliable or powerful peaks?”

Strategies for Positive Change
Once you’ve identified the positive influencers from your reflections, here’s how to ensure they play a significant role in the upcoming year:

  • Schedule with Intent: Bring positive elements to the forefront of your life. Get them on the calendar—schedule outings, plan activities, and commit to events that bring joy.
  • Concrete Commitments: Move beyond intentions. Book activities in advance to solidify their place in your life.
  • It’s Real Once Scheduled: Prioritize and honor activities that contribute positively. Make them official by scheduling them and watch how it transforms your year.

Navigating the Negatives:
As for the “negative” leaders, here’s a thoughtful approach:

  • Create a Visible NOT-TO-DO LIST: Acknowledge the aspects that make you miserable and deserve to stay off your calendar. Create a NOT-TO-DO LIST and prominently place it where you’ll see it each morning during the initial weeks of 2024.
  • Avoid Obligation, Guilt, and FOMO: These are powerful emotions, but don’t let them dictate your calendar. If something consistently brings negativity, resist the urge to include it out of obligation, guilt, or fear of missing out (FOMO). Your well-being comes first.
